Following the globally recognised SSI (Scuba Schools International) swim syllabus, this level focuses on building freestyle endurance, mastering flip turns, and introducing competitive backstroke. Intermediate I (Stroke Refinement)

Intermediate I transitions swimmers from basic freestyle to bent-arm recovery and bilateral breathing. Students learn competitive turns, improve endurance, and are introduced to backstroke and treading water — preparing them for more advanced stroke work.
